On 21^st of July, the University of Georgia hosted a commencement ceremony 2017.

This year’s honorary speaker was head of the Georgian National Ballet – Mrs. Nino Sukhishvili.   The highlight of the ceremony was conferment of Doctor Honoris Causa upon famous Georgian Pianist – Mrs. Khatia Buniatishvili.

The ceremony also included a musical intermission prepared by the Music Band – “Jam Station”.  Well-known young singers performed for the class of 2017. Young artists – Grigol Kipshidze and Tamar Edilashvili also performed on stage.

This year, UG awarded Konstantine Bzikadze graduating with highest GPA with a complete package of weekend getaway at Chateau Mere.  The evening ended with beautiful fireworks.

The ceremony was attended by distinguished guests and friends of the University of Georgia.

The event event ended with throwing of caps, fireworks and cutting of a celebratory cake.
